Cupcake Toppers

One of the moms at my MOPS table is just about to have her 2nd baby!  This morning we showered her with gifts and cupcakes.  I made these cute cupcake toppers that spelled out BABY EMMA!  The pictures from my phone really don't do justice! They turned out supper cute! I think I will do something of this sort for Presley's birthday party coming up!

Thank You Friend

This weekend we went over to a friends house for dinner and I wanted to bring her a small gift for having us over. Who wouldn't love to get a set of 4 homemade cards!?  Just a small gesture of gratitude! Thanks Bailly's for once again having us over for a scrumptious dinner!

Over the Rainbow Cupcakes

So you may have seen these on other blogs but I wanted to but my spin on them. These were so fun to make! I took a normal box of Betty Crocker Yellow cake mix made the batter as directed and then split the batter up into 4 bowls.  In each bowl I added food coloring! Mixed it up. Presley helped me with this. She thought that was so much fun! Next I took a small tablespoon and began to add the red, then the orange, yellow and finally green on the top!  Baked them for the amount that the box said.  I let them cool over night.

Today I made the butter cream frosting: Here is my favorite recipe for butter cream

1 stick of butter
4-5 Tablespoons of milk
4 cups of powdered sugar.
I usually but a teaspoon of vanilla in.  Today I totally forgot and I honestly think it tasted better!
Added several drops of green food coloring

Put the frosting in my pampered chef Easy Accent Decorator (I love this tool)
and piped the frosting onto the cupcakes.
I found those adorable Leprechaun hats at Michael's today placed those with green sprinkles on top!

The kids absolutely loved them.  Glad they were such a huge hit!

Clowning Around

Another fun Birthday Card! We have been to so many birthday parties lately. I need to get a stack of kids cards made so I am not making them last minute!  This is a very old SU stamp set, but it's a good one and classic.  It's also a cute clown and not a scary one!
I used SU water color wonder crayons. SU glitter brads, Real Red paper SU, used a dimensional for the cake (it's actually hiding a mistake, shhhhh don't tell!) and the number paper is from Making Memories!
Enjoy and Happy Monday!
