Challenge #2: Be Merry Sign

Challenge number 2 is completed! WOOHOOO!

This was super easy and took me about 20 minutes!

The sign was a sign I used to have in my kitchen! It had apples on it (I used to have an apple theme in my kitchen! Super UGLY! What was I thinking!).A few months ago I spray painted it with chalk board paint but then never did anything with it! I decided to make a cute sign for the door or for inside!

I alternated red and cream ribbon. Wrote Be Merry with chalk from the garage and hung it off of our China Hutch! Super easy and I think cute!

Challenge 1: Thankful Banner

Wow finally getting around to my challenges! Life has been awesome but extremely busy lately!

I made this Thankful Banner for my parents as a hostess gift.  They always open their home every year and I just wanted to give back and say THANKS!

I loved the way the banner turned out, but let me tell you how hard this was to NOT GO TO THE CRAFT STORE! I am a perfectionist when it comes to crafting. I want everything to be perfect. I almost didn't finish this because I wanted different ribbon and sparkly letters. But I trekked on and finished!
Here you go!

Challenge 1 finished! Can I do 29 more?!?!

Halloween Decorations

Made these cupcakes for our adult Halloween party! They looked very cool but I guess they didn't taste so good. To much black die?!?! How do you get the frosting to not look purple, be black but still taste good? Open to suggestions!

Pat and I bought all these cool bottles and antique stores and then we bought Martha Stewart
labels and decorated them adding colored water to the bottles!  That bottle really does say Witches Brew not "bitches"!

Banner I made today! It took me about an hour to make! Need to finish on part I want to put googly eyes in the center of the "O's"!

Spider Webs!

This is such a cool craft to do with the kids! I can't take the credit for this idea! I worked in Presley's kindergarten class a few weeks ago and I helped the kids make these! I thought that it was such a fun idea that we would make more at home and hang them up around the house.

So simple all you need is:
Hot Glue Gun
Glue Sticks
A large bowl with water
A bag of spider rings.

Help your kiddos and let them hold your hand as you drip the hot glue into the water bowl. They can help guide your hand.  Make a large circle, then add the lines and lastly had the spirals!

Sprinkle water on them. They harden in just a few seconds.  Take out and let them dry on a paper towel.
The next day I found a bag of spiders at Walgreen's I cut the ring part off and hot glued them to the web!
Hang with fishing line around different areas in your house! FUN! FUN!

HAPPY HALLOWEEN!!!!

50th Wedding Anniversary!

On July 1st. there was a celebration for a wonderful couple! They just happen to be my Father & Mother in law! We had a wonderful celebration for them! Here is the banner that I made. I had the cake made but added the ribbon and the frame! The cake was supposed to be gold and turned out a bit more yellow than I would have liked. And with traveling 3 hours over the mountain and in 80 degrees the cake got a few dents in it! But it tasted wonderful!
Here's wishing 50 more wonderful years to my In-laws!
