Be Thankful
I Love Thanksgiving! It's the one holiday these days that my whole family is together! I cherish family time!
There is so much to be thankful for! So Today is the 8th day of November and I will give 8 reasons why today I am so thankful
1. That I have a loving supportive husband
2. I have two healthy, beautiful, wild & crazy kids
3. I may complain about my house (and that I don't have a craft room) but I am thankful that I have a roof over my head!
4. Thankful for medical insurance, especially days like today when both my daughter and I needed to be seen.
5. Thankful for the opportunity to be able stay home and raise my children
6. Thankful for all my friendships ~past and present! I always think of the quote not sure who said it but "Friends are the Family that you pick!"
7. Thankful for a close friend who is mentoring/discipling me and growing me in my Faith!
8. Thankful for my parents that they have been such a good example to me and Pat. My sister who calls me daily just because! THESE ARE THE THINGS I AM GRATEFUL AND WILL CHERISH ALWAYS!
Happy Birthday!
My birthday card box has been depleted so I needed to come up with some more. I thought this card was fun. I love the colors and I had fun breaking out my Stampin Up Water Color Wonder Crayons to make each cake a special one!:)
It's beginning to look alot like Christmas!
I can't believe that Christmas is right around the corner! I was at the mall this weekend and it totally got me in the Christmas spirit. Most all stores were decorated, Christmas music was being played and the stores were filled with lots of people!
I came home and immediately wanted to start working on Christmas cards! So here is one of the ones that I came up with! The colors didn't photograph very well. I used a red, old olive green and bashful blue paper. I wanted to go for a "Vintage Santa Look" I absolutely love the new Glass Glitter that can be found on pg 21 of the Holiday Mini Catalog!
Well this will probably be one of mini holiday cards that I post! Hope this inspires you to start working on your holiday cards now! It's only 22 days till Dec. 1!!!!

12x12 Scrapbook/ Invitation
My mom just retired this last week and my sister and I wanted to make her a special invation that she would be able to keep forever. My sister made her a poem and I scrapbooked it onto a 12x12 scrapbook page. I thought that maybe she will want to frame or place it in a shadow box! Sorry the pictures aren't very well. I took them with my phone camera and in the car on my way to my mom's work on her last day.
Here is the poem that my sister wrote:
A True Fairytale
Once upon a time, in a land not so far away,
There lived a lady who was beautiful and worked hard every day.
She worked at a bank, showing what she could do,
Keeping the customers happy, was what she knew.
She got up every morning, got ready to go,
Knowing her day would be filled with numbers to show.
She had two daughters that were demanding and fussed,
Always wanting something, everything a must.
So, she looked in their eyes and would continue to work,
Giving what she never hd, was all it was worth.
And even though the days turned into years and they got very long,
She always buckled down with her heels hurring, never missing her daughter to sing a song.
Finally, the day came, when she would count no more,
She would stay home with her Harvey, and the world they would explore.
No more daughters to support, all the wedding had been had
Just time with the grandkids, a time to be glad.
The customers would cry, as banking would never be the same,
A friendly fact they would miss, oh, what a shame.
But her family is happy and celebrating for sure,
Saying a big THANK YOU that is noting but pure!
So goodbye to the long days, that took all her years
Hello to the happy times... the GOLDDEN YEARS!

Brownie Treat!
A local new bakery makes these brownie lollipops with sprinkles and my kids just love them! So Ethan has requested them to take to school for his birthday snack day! Instead of going to the bakery and buying them (I think that they are about $1.00/a piece) I made these cute treats in Ethan's class for $0.78 (and I was able to make 22 of them)! I already had the lollipop sticks, bags, tag punches and stamps! Hope the kids enjoy them this afternoon!
- I used a boxed brownie mix Betty Crocker (I found this box for 0.78 at Winco Foods
- Baked them in a small muffin tray for 20 mins @ 350
- I let them cool for about an hour, the second batch I did was at 11:00 pm so to speed the cooling process up I placed them in the fridge for 10 minutes!
- I then double boiled a bag of Chocolate Chips
- Dipped the bottom of the muffin into the melted chocolate
- Dipped in a bowl full of sprinkles.
- I placed them in the fridge over night
- Next morning placed the lollipop sticks in them (I used Wilton Lollipop sticks)
- Placed them in the treat bags. (I used the 4"x6" treat bags found @ Michael's)
- Added the cute tag that I stamped and used a twist tie to close it!
Simple and inexpensive!

Magnetic Board & Magnets
I made two of these to give to my daughters Pre-School Teachers!
I cut out Scrap-book paper to fit the size of the metal sheet. I then placed modge-podge on the metal and adhered my scrapbook paper. I used Stickers that I had that coordinated with the paper and then added the ribbon handle. The magnets where made with marbles, a 1" circle punch, stickers and a hot glue gun! Super fast, super simple and Cute!
